As you’ll have seen on the previous page, becoming an instructor with LCTKD is about much more than going on a course, but completing the right training course is an essential part of what is required.

If you have already completed an instructor course with a recognised body, then we will normally accept that, and not require you to go on one of our courses.

Otherwise, you need to complete a four day instructor course, and complete a written or video submission, before you start as a full instructor - or within a year of joining us as a probationary instructor.

You can see what the courses involve by looking at our Instructor Courses document, which you can download through the link on the right.

Once you have joined us, you can attend the courses free - though you need to pay for your own travel and accommodation.

Want to do the course but don’t want to join us?

Okay... Our courses are also available to students in the Independent Taekwondo Schools, and to any suitable martial artist wanting to complete a recognised instructor  course.

For ITS students, the fee is £95, and to others it is £375.
